  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

For Rice:

  • 2 cups jasmine or basmati rice
  • 4 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Rice:

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium pot, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the rice and stir for 2-3 minutes until it is slightly toasted.
  4. Add water or chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

2. Make the Spicy Beef:

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the beef slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste or sriracha, and sugar. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
  5. Add the bell pepper, onion, and snap peas or green beans. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

3. Grill the Shrimp:

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are opaque and cooked through.
  5. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

4. Assemble the Plate:

  1. Serve a portion of the cooked rice on each plate.
  2. Top with a generous serving of spicy beef and vegetables.
  3. Add a side of grilled shrimp.
  4. Garnish with additional green onions, sesame seeds, and lemon wedges as desired.
